Cooperation with OGP

International Association of Oil and Gas Producers

NOGEPA is a member of OGP, the International Association of Oil and Gas Producers. OGP is located in London and Brussels.   

International cooperation

OGP members represent over the half of all oil producers worldwide and about one third of gas production. OGP promotes international cooperation in the areas of health, safety, environment and operations, and engineering. OGP represents its members at the United Nations, the IMO (International Maritime Organization) and the World Bank. OGP also plays an important role in the creation and policing of maritime agreements such as the OSPAR Treaty.

Advisory groups

Within EU representation OGP speaks for members that are active in Europe. OGP thus takes a part in various forums (for instance Berlin Fossil Fuels Forum and the Madrid European Gas Regulator Forum) and other advisory groups that occur partly on the initiative of the European Commission. In the name of its members OGP is the most important discussion partner in the areas of energy policy, environmental protection, and other issues relating to the work of the oil and gas industry.
